Vanessa Segura, MSN-Ed., CNEcl, PHN


Vanessa Segura is a registered nurse of eight years and an educator and leader in prelicensure nursing higher education in the Phoenix area. She currently serves as the Assistant Dean of Clinical Affairs at Arizona College, Tempe campus. Vanessa has earned her BS degree in Sociology from the University of California Riverside, her BSN from Azusa Pacific University, and her MSN with an emphasis in Nursing Education from Grand Canyon University. Vanessa is a board-certified Clinical Nurse Educator and holds her Public Health Nursing board certification. She is a credentialed educator through the Association of Colleges and University Educators. Vanessa's passion as a clinical nurse is behavioral health, but her deeper passion is in educating the next generation of professional nurses. Vanessa has extensive experience in prelicensure education, focusing her attention on the clinical learning setting. Her love for higher education inspired her to pursue her doctorate degree in nursing while managing the clinical learning experiences at Arizona College of Nursing's Tempe campus. There, she manages 75+ adjunct and full-time clinical faculty and facilitates high-quality learning experiences for over 650 prelicensure nursing students. Vanessa has a variety of experience in teaching prelicensure nursing, including didactic, simulation, lab, and clinical courses with both online and in-person programs.
