Michelle Morgan, DNP, RN, ANP-BC
Dr. Morgan has twenty-two years’ experience certified as Adult Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Most of her nurse practitioner career has been as a provider in gastroenterology practices. She currently volunteers at St. Vincent’s de Paul as a gastroenterology provider. She is a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor in the Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Doctor of Nursing Practice Program at Arizona State University, Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation. She has taught at ASU in the DNP program since the Spring of 2020.
Dr. Morgan was the Nurse Practitioner Clinical Liaison for the Graduate Nurse Education Demonstration Project at HonorHealth from 2014-2017 and collaborated with faculty and clinical sites affiliated across Arizona to develop Innovative Clinical Training Models for nurse practitioner students.
Research interests are in health disparities, social determinants of health, trauma informed care and resilience. Dr. Morgan presented her DNP scholarly project, “Beliefs and Behaviors of Nurses Providing Healthcare Services to Gay and Lesbian Individuals” at the 44th Biennial Sigma Theta Tau Conference (2017).
