Colleen is a retired Chief Nursing Officer with a diverse leadership background that provided her with experience on the front lines of health care, in middle management, and also executive leadership. Employed by Banner Health for 20+ years, Colleen served in various leadership positions in Banner hospitals, most recently at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center (now Banner University Medical Center Phoenix). During her Banner years, she had opportunities to lead major initiatives including cultural transformation, shared leadership implementation, electronic medical record implementation, and clinical process improvements.
A graduate of Indiana University and Loyola University, Chicago, Colleen has enjoyed a rich career and has a reputation as a transformational leader, influential speaker, and mentor of aspiring leaders. She Chairs the AZNA Political Action Committee, is a Board Member and Volunteer at NourishPHX, and serves as a reading and writing tutor for the Paradise Valley School System. She is also a wife, mother of two wonderful sons, and is interested in the Arts. Life in retirement is rich and full.
